Another day. Another rescue.
..this is Pandya. He’s one of our regulars.
Been running behind a bitch on heat, who we have not been able to catch. Since he’s extremely gentle and kind, he gets bullied by the goons of the galli and looks like they roughed him up bad this time, for the one on heat !! He has multiple bite marks and his leg is swollen quite a bit. His wound is filled with pus which needed to be drained out.

He’s been admitted to a paid shelter and his treatment has begun. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers 🙏

Each day at the shelter costs Rs 400+ medicines+commute to and fro to the vet.

PS- this is also one of the main reasons sterilization is so important! When a bitch is on heat, male dogs from all over come to try and mate with her and in that bargain, there are huge fights and gentle ones like Pandya get beaten up 😟…
We have been trying to catch these two girls, to get them spayed, since years now but have been unable to… We won’t give up and will keep trying. 🙏.
