It was incredibly moving to witness @food_cat_plant_therapy celebrate baby M’s fifth birthday in such a heartfelt way.

They cooked chicken and rice and grandma, ma and baby M brought it to feed the community dogs we look after and feed daily.

What makes it even more special is that this is the third year in a row she’s chosen kindness over convention, turning a birthday into a tradition of giving…. There’s something deeply beautiful about a child growing up with these moments, learning that love isn’t just something we feel, but something we share…especially with those who have no voice.

This kind of gentle, intentional parenting plants the seeds of empathy so early, and it’s hard not to feel a little emotional thinking about the kind of compassionate human this little girl is being raised to become. ♥️
