Weekend heartwarmer ❤️
.
This is the story of Vanshika Somaiya and her family.
Vanshikhas mother is a part of the Viman nagar group that my mother is also a part of.
One evening, there was a request by Mrs Somiaya asking if anyone has a labrador puppy for sale.
.
Now since my mom has been seeing and listening to my stories of the horrific breeding industry, she at once referred her to me.
.
I was contacted for the same and after patiently reading their requirements, I asked them if they had some time to listen to something very eye opening that I was about to tell them.
.
Mrs Somaiya very kindly obliged and put me on speaker so that her husband and Vanshika could also hear me out.
The horrors of the breeding industry is what they heard about on that call and they confessed that they had no idea about how the female dog is literally put onto a rape stand and how her babies are snatched away from her at the tender age of 25-30 days by humans who want to make money off her.
How she is “discarded” on highways when she isn’t fit enough to produce more pups and how our indian pups are the best suited and resilient for our country!
.
I must say, the Somaiyas were very open minded and willing to understand and thereafter not contribute to that horror!
.
Cut to- me contacting Manjiree and she showing them some pups..out of which one stole their heart ❤️
They went several times to meet her in her territory and were very patient with the whole procedure.
At first they chose to foster ZOEY to see if they are able to cope and vice versa… Exactly a month later..today….and she is HOME ❤️
.
The Mommy of the house is a bit hesitant even now because she has a deep rooted fear of dogs, but I’m so sure she will come around sooner than later and will be the one who loves Zoey the most! Animals are like that..you can’t help but fall in love with them eventually 😃..
.
Zoey has been with them for exactly a month now and is very much a part of their loving family!
.
They didn’t hesitate to adopt a girl, they didn’t hesitate to adopt an indian.. because they understand that an animal’s love is an animal’s love! The breed does not matter. 🤗
.
Thank you Mom (Geeta Malkani) for referring me , thank you Manjiri for being so patient and thank you the Somiaya family for choosing to adopt an Indian 🤗
