Somewhere about the end of May 2020 I got a call from one of the watchmen who helps me keep an eye on some streeties, to tell me there is a female Doberman roaming the Kharadi highway with her pup. On inquiring he found out they belonged to a guy in one of the Bastis who used her for breeding and now he had abandoned her and the pup and gone away to his village (Covid scare).
.
She was in the care of someone who lived on the streets himself.
.
Priya and Abhijit were kind enough to go and do a first inspection since I was tied up with another rescue that day… post which I went and spoke to “Anna” and took claim of Browny.
.
I had no clue what to do and I called up @Resq to ask if she could be there till I did my best to get her adopted. They agreed. Forever indebted to them for the 2746484736484884 times they’ve been there for this city’s animals! Neha Panchamiya ❤️
.
Viinod was very kind to allow Browny to be at his shelter till she was sent to Resq.
.
Many many Facebook and Instagram posts later, and a few eager inquires later, Advay Sardesai applied for adoption.
.
I was impressed by the approach he had and routed him through the RESQ CHARITABLE TRUST adoption process , getting him in touch with the adoption team there..
.
His family and him have been extremely patient about Browny s adoption. They waited till she was spayed. They went for socialising sessions along with their current dog ..to see if they both get along and more than a month later..she went home to the Sardesais!
.
It’s as if she was meant to be theirs and they hers 🙂
.
Just look at these pictures and videos and warm your hearts as well ☺️
.
Thank you Advay and family and thank you ResQ for everything.
.
From roaming aimlessly on Kharadi streets to a gorgeous bunglow of her own 😄
.
The universe responds to every prayer if it is truly something you wish from the bottom of your heart ❤️
