RAJU was reported to me yesterday by someone who sees him daily. He noticed that something didn’t seem right in the way Raju was breathing plus he wasn’t eating either.
We got him picked up and checked and we were informed that it was an emergency situation as his xray revealed
– complete pleural effusion which needed chest tapping immediately
A complete pleural effusion describes a severe buildup of excess fluid in the pleural space (between lungs and chest wall), often seen on X-rays as a “whiteout” of the lung area, preventing full lung expansion and causing significant shortness of breath, chest pain, and cough.
He was rushed to the emergency clinic where he is admitted at the moment . his blood tests reveal tick fever and a bad liver too which is the secondary complication due to the primary condition.
He is critical at the moment yet slightly better than yesterday because around 10 ml fluid was removed last night and they will attempt to remove more today
The estimate for two days is Rs 40,000- attached here – including the procedure to remove the excess liquid from his chest so he can beathe properly.
Pls help us help Raju ๐ it is extremely tough to look away and refuse a dog who needs help. I couldn’t just leave him there to suffer and die . We had no choice but to send him to emergency either. I will move him to a paid shelter once he is stable ๐
If you can help Raju, pls gpay on the QR on the last slide here.
Thank you in advance
In gratitude
