Bablu is still admitted at the emergency facility as he is still in a  very fragile state. Moving him out of there to a regular shelter with many dogs will be very risky.

He had his orthopedic vet visit at Tailsmen Clinic with Dr Varun yesterday and here are the updates on his fracture and in general:

🧿 Bablu is now eating on his own which he wasn’t earlier
🧿 He is able to hold his stance on all fours so we are now sure there is no nerve damage
🧿 He is even able to walk a few steps , but this has to be under constant supervision because he cannot afford to lose balance and fall as that puts him at a risk of severe pelvic damage
🧿 His right leg is doing good and he is in very less pain there
🧿 His left leg still has immense pain and he sometimes howls in pain too but it is still better than the last time he visited Tailsmen
🧿 We are going to try to go the conservative way and not opt for surgery since we did realise that the recouping time is almost the same -6 weeks but Dr Varun has said we can give him one more week on meds and suppliments to see how he does and then take a call..if he is still in immense pain next week then we will have no choice
🧿 We have found a paid home foster for Bablu so most likely he will be moved there in a few days but 👇
🧿 Our major concern now is that he is still not peeing on his own and he needs a catheter to be placed.  There is no nerve damage so that’s not the reason. It could be because he is indoors and new place etc, so now the good people at the emergency vet are going to take him out 2-3 times a day with support (as seen in one of the videos above) and that might help him pee on his own ..
🧿 Another Rs.16,000 was paid yesterday, besides the Rs.74,000 already paid+ the orthopedic vet fees+ transport fees
