Update on Snow – 30.9.24
Trigger warning – pics of his tumor – but worth seeing the size!!

Snow was taken in for surgery day before yesterday. Initially we thought it will be a quick one but when Dr Bharath started to remove the tumor .. he realised it was way bigger than it looked form the outside. He had to dig and dig and go deep in to remove it! It turned out to be a slightly major and complicated surgery.

Snow was stitched up post that and we are hoping the stitches stay in place because it’s a large area to treat as an open wound 🤞

He is anemic so he is on injections that help his body to produce more RBC cells and hemoglobin..
He is very old but if we wouldnt have helped him with this tumor he would have died a slow torturous death

It’s always a dilemma …for such old dogs to be sent into surgery..but I just go with my gut for each case I come accross. I did the same this time too.
I know he will be well ❤️‍🩹 🧿

Attached here are the bills as of now..

Surgery procedure – Rs 23,400
Transport – 2000 pick up + 1500 to  clinic and back for surgery
Stay at private paid shelter – Rs 400 a day
Meds – additional..
