Yesterday, we had a very bittersweet experience .. A sweet mama dog named Mimi was reported to us in a bad condition..she was trying to give birth but in a lot of distress…
One puppy was out and she wasn’t able to deliver the rest
It was a blood bath initially …

Kindness still exists in this world.
Sagar, a very kind resident from the society, the guards and the committee too were involved in this rescue.

Sagar went out of his way to help mimi, we put mimi in his car and he drove along with some help to the clinic where mimi delivered 6 pups ..
3 were still in her tummy and the vets were doing their best when she succumbed to her struggle 💔
It was Janmashtami yesterday and it felt so symbolic.. so painful yet so beautiful..mimi was a true yashoda maa..doing her best for her babies.. hanging on till the very end..

Mimi and her 3 babies still inside her have been put to rest . She has left behind 6 pups who are in a neonatal foster now and we desperately need to raise funds to help them survive.
Thanks to the Hope for Pawz- Kharadi team as well for being a part of this and raising funds to pay the vet and transport..

It has been such a bittersweet experience all of yesterday… To see how the community came together and did all they could to save one doggy.
She couldn’t make it but I think hope is helping make its way through this..
From driving her to the vet , to coordinating with them, to ensuring Mimis body is protected through the night till we could have it picked up in the morning, to sharing my post looking for neonatal fosters.. everything was so well orchestrated by the universe that it broke my heart to have lost mimi…she brought so many people together but in the end she lost her battle..sorry mimi…this is why sterilisation is so important…
