By now I’m hoping all of you recognise our Julie 🙂
She lives right outside my society and is very loved 🧿❣️

Usually in the monsoon, all the community dogs around, find a way to hide themselves and look for shelter but Julie for some reason does not budge and sits and gets soaked in the rain. Earlier I used to think she enjoys it but then one day she fell sick because of consistently getting soaked.

When the thunderstorms came in last week, i wasn’t prepared and hadn’t made her a temporary monsoon shelter like i always do.. so I went out and brought her home whenever it rained.  She seemed so happy to feel safe and not get soaked.
It broke my heart every time I had to leave her back once the rain stopped but for all practical purposes there was no other choice.

Julie’s story is one of quiet strength and unwavering perseverance. Despite the challenges life has thrown her way, she continues to face each day with grace and determination. But as the clouds gather overhead, we can’t stand idly by while she braves the storm alone.

We have decided to build her a temporary monsoon shelter, this time slightly stronger and theft proof . A simple one yet a sturdier one.
Together, let’s build more than just a shelter. Let’s build hope, resilience, and a sense of belonging for Julie and others like her who deserve to feel safe and protected, no matter what storms may come their way. Thank you for your generosity and compassion.
