“Climate change is real” is an undeniable fact supported by overwhelming scientific evidence. The Earth’s climate is experiencing significant shifts due to human activities!

Besides the obvious destruction of crops and in turn humans, we forget that we aren’t the only species on this planet!

India is experiencing more frequent and intense extreme weather events, including heatwaves, cyclones, floods, and droughts. These events disrupt  all lives and cause widespread devastation.

If you swipe through the pictures above, you will see that we in Pune witnessed a HAIL STORM two weeks ago in the middle of SUMMER. While it excited most people because they got a temporary relief from the heat,all our community animals suffered!

The hail was so strong that when i stepped out for just a moment, it actually hurt like someone was pelting stones at me!

Imagine the plight of our babies out there who have no clue what hail is and where it is coming from!

We lost SNOWY, one of our most docile and gorgeous girls that evening! She was found lying lifeless in the spot that she usually rests in.  The vets said it could be due to shock or even a heart attack because she was so terrified! 

Julie sat in a corner , curled up not knowing where to take shelter because the lane has absolutely no cover, not even trees!!!

As helpless as this sounds, it is time we accept it is our doing and realise there is NO PLANET B! Live sensibly and please please know that there is other life besides the human species who thrive without our existence!

We welcome May ’24 with hope that we are all kind and considerate to Mother Earth !
