One of the worst cases we have come across!!
This poor girl was lying down in her usual spot when all of a sudden she was shaken out of slumber by a bus literally crushing her legs! All FOUR of them!!

The bus was that of a reputed school with children in it! The driver of the bus was stopped and questioned but did not wait to help.. luckily the volunteer who saw this had the presence of mind to take his details.
Action was taken and the dog was immediately rushed to the vet to stabilise and see what next!

Meanwhile, Bhavesh Jain , our super active and on-ground volunteer rushed to chase the driver and then to the police station to lodge a complaint! The police swung into action and the driver was summoned.
He did turn up and explained what had happened – what he said did seem genuine and the fact that he did turn up also meant something.
He was penalised and was made to pay Rs 5000 to the vet directly.

This post is to raise awareness to :

1. LOOK AROUND WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING
2. DONT SPARE THOSE WHO HIT AND RUN- EVEN IF THEY SAY IT WAS A MISTAKE. ITS AN UNFORGIVABLE MISTAKE AND THERE IS ALWAYS A PRICE TO PAY.
3. DO NOT GIVE UP AND DO ALL YOU CAN AS A VOLUNTEER – just like Bhavesh did !

Rs 5000 is nothing compared to the pain that the poor animal is going through, but for the driver it was probably a big chunk of his salary and he will remember to always look around while he drives!!

The dog is admitted thanks to volunteers who reported (Tanvi)and went along with the ambulance @rajdeep2412 …There is one broken bone which does not require surgery but a Lot of muscle loss and hence recovery is going to take very very long.

We will get back on funds required for this girl . For now keep her in your prayers and share this post for awareness 🙏
